With millions of members, Facebook is a great place to find a date.
Remember that Facebook is not a Dating Site, and as such should be used to complement other methods of Online Dating.
Most members of Facebook connect with friends that they know in real life. So you cannot just use Facebook to request new random friends. But join the Facebook Dating Group and you will be part of a community who are all there for one thing - finding someone to date, for romance, for love, marriage or simply just mingling and flirting.Join the Group
Facebook is free to use and always will be. The new Facebook Dating App allows FB users to set up a "dating profile".
When you choose to use Facebook for Dating you should always take great care who you connect with. Don't forget that a picture of a person and the things they say, and all their FB friends list, jobs, Country and Town, could be FAKE. Never trust anyone unless you really, really know them.
Here are some things you should never do on Facebook.....
Never send anyone money or gift vouchers - no matter how convincing they seem.
Never give anyone your contact details - use Messenger only. If they get your email or phone number they may harass you or try to blackmail you.
Never assume the person you link with is exactly who they say - a lot of scammers set up a profile using photos of pretty girls (images stolen off the internet) and can go on to ask you for "naked" photos which they threaten to post on your profile unless you send them money.
Men, if a very attractive girl, 20 years younger than you says you are cute and wants to be your friend it is too good to be true.
Ladies, if a man has photos of an armed services member, says he is ex army, lives abroad, has been dumped by a girlfriend, is short of money, or any of a hundred other stories, just walk away.
Enjoy meeting new people and be as polite as you can be. Too many people think it's OK to write nasty comments. It's a friendly group and always will be safe and welcoming to everyone - wherever you live, whatever your age, sexuality, skin color or religion - we are all friends.
